Being such a strong player in the media industry, we realise that ours is a position of privilege.

Media has such power to influence people – and we are determined to use that power for good.

We also take seriously our responsibilities to give back to the communities in which we operate.

As we go about our work, we come across so many people who are facing enormous struggles in life. We are touched by their stories, and we cannot help but want to make a difference in their situations. At the same time, we are inspired so often by the hope and determination we find – it is humbling to see how those with so little can maintain such a positive spirit in the face of adversity.

We also come across heroes – everyday saints, really – who are working tirelessly in their families, communities or organizations to help others. Their efforts are selfless and they often work for little reward – except, of course, the reward that comes from serving rather than being served. These are the people we are determined to support, as our special expertise in media can often multiply their effectiveness dramatically. They are already doing the good work; we can help them raise funds more effectively, tell their stories, raise their issues for a wider audience, and connect them to the right partners.

We are humbled by the self-sacrificing service of others, and we always feel privileged to be able to contribute – in our own way – to making the world a better place.
